Ken Johnson EvexiPEL Practitioner:
Dr. Ken Johnson has been a practicing interventional cardiologist and vascular medicine specialist in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex for over 25 years. He previously served as the Director of Interventional Cardiology and Endovasacular Interventions for the Baylor Scott & White Dallas Medical Center. During his career in cardiovascular disease management he has performed tens of thousands of complex coronary and peripheral vascular interventions and has managed a wide array of cardiac and vascular conditions. He has published a multitude of research papers, authored a book entitled “Understanding Microinflammation: The Common Link Between Aging, Cancer and Coronary Disease,” and has spoken internationally on topics ranging from cardiovascular prevention to functional medicine and anti-aging.
Never being satisfied with learning enough, Dr. Johnson obtained his Masters in Business Administration in 2011 from the esteemed Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Blending his understanding of medicine and business, Dr. Johnson subsequently worked for a multitude of pharmaceutical and medical device companies and even served as the Chief Medical Officer for one of the country’s largest diagnostic laboratories. Through all of this, Dr. Johnson never abandoned his clinical practice.
Most recently and largely because of publishing his book on the inflammatory basis of disease, Dr. Johnson became deeply interested in functional medicine and anti-aging. He subsequently obtained additional training and certification in these arenas and developed the concept for his current functional medicine and longevity practice, the Balanced Vitality Institute for Cellular Health & Longevity. In this practice Dr. Johnson combines advanced biomarker testing with state-of-the-art treatments designed to address the root causes of disease and promote longitudinal wellness and improved healthspan. Dr. Johnson has become an internationally renowned authority in the longevity space and has lectured worldwide on the subject of anti-aging science.
